...ringen blev sluttet. Min kusine, som jeg ikke har set i tusind år, ringede kl. kvart over syv og spurgte om ikke jeg ville have en billet til Pearl Jam. Jeg sagde ja til koncerten, der for første gang siden Roskilde tragedien, har ramt dansk jord... Tog en taxa fra DR til Forum og 20 minutter efter var jeg i Forums magt...Og det var fedt... og patetisk. Ikke sige - "hey - hvad er farven på ambulancen...", når man kender svaret - Everybody knows, kunne de have sunget. Hvorfor balre om folk der skulle passe på ikke at skubbe til hinanden på balkonen, når nu der var rimelig tomt deroppe... hvorfor sige, hvad alle vidste, når det nu engang var så følelsesladet at se dem her på kongerigets jord... well well - roskilde er lige om hjørnet... og I'm Alive og Rock 'n' Roll In A Free World tog den sidste pust - fair nok... ikke godt nok, men fair nok!
